Trust & transparency

Reviews you can actually trust

Every tool here is test-driven and scored against the same rubric, and the score never moves because someone paid. Here is exactly how it works, and how we keep it honest.

01

The score is editorial

A tool's number comes from the rubric, not its invoice. The only things a maker can buy are the Pro dashboard and a badge waiver, never a higher score.

02

We review the live product

Every score is based on the working tool: what it actually does, how it is priced, how it holds up. Not the promises on a landing page.

03

One rubric for everyone

The same five axes and 100-point scale apply to a weekend side-project and a billion-dollar platform alike.

04

Most submissions won't make it

Vaporware, thin wrappers, and prohibited categories are turned away. A listing means a tool cleared the bar; the score says how far past it.

One rubric, scored out of 100

The headline score is a weighted blend of five public axes, each one shown on the listing so you can see exactly where a tool is strong and where it is weak.

01 Capability does it do the hard part of its job well?
02 Usability onboarding, interface, and time-to-value.
03 Value what you get for the plan you pay for.
04 Reliability does it hold up in real use and fail gracefully?
05 Docs & support documentation, examples, and the support surface.
1

Test the live product

We use the real thing, check the claims, and compare it to the alternatives already in its category.

2

Score on the rubric

Five axes, one 100-point scale, applied the same way every time.

Publish the verdict

The good and the bad, in plain language, with a clear read on who it is (and is not) for.

Listing is free. The score is not for sale.

Exactly one thing is for sale, and it is not the number. That separation is the whole point of the directory.

You can pay for
+The Pro maker dashboard: 90-day analytics, review insights, search insights
+A waiver of the badge requirement for that listing
+Nothing else: no featured slots, no priority review, no advertising
You can never pay for
–A higher score
–A better spot in an honest sort
–A softer verdict

Every genuine listing (free or Launched++) gets normal dofollow links, marked up the same way on both tiers. Payment never buys a score, a rank, or a position: Launched++ is the Pro maker dashboard plus a waiver of the badge requirement, and it does not change how any link is marked up. We do not sell advertising or featured slots, and we do not run affiliate-driven rankings.

Some things are auto-rejected

No matter who submits them, or what they would pay:

✕Adult / NSFW
✕Gambling
✕Crypto pump-and-dump or token spam
✕Escort / dating spam
✕Link farms & doorway pages
✕Anything illegal
✕Vaporware with no working product
✕Pure GPT wrappers with nothing of their own

Not owned by anything we review.

launched.tools isn't owned by any tool in the directory, and no listing can buy its way to a better number. Spot a mistake in a review? We correct fast.
